Supply List
1. Collect fabrics. Marilyn used the number of fat quarters as were sections in the design of her tote. Fewer quarters could be used if you want to repeat the use of the same fabrics. You also need fabrics for the lining, bias edges and the remainder of the outside of the tote and handles. You can choose to make something other than a tote such as a vest, yoke of a blouse/shirt, place mats.
2. Pellon fusible fleece 987F was used as the foundation. Fusible interfacing can be used depending on your project. Buy 1/2 yard or more depending upon the size of your project.
3. Tissue paper to trace your design.
4. Bring a highlighter pen or something to mark the side/sides of the tissud pattern to enlarge 1 inch.
Steps to take before the February meeting.
1. On a piece of paper, draw your design.
2. Trace your design on the fusible side of the fusible fleece,/interfacing with a permanent marking pen.
3. Trace the design on tissue paper and cut along the design lines.
4. Wait until the meeting to cut out your fabric pieces using the tissue paper patterns you created unless you are absolutely certain you understand which side/sides of the tissue pattern you need to cut 1 inch larger. Marilyn will help you at the meeting to determine the correct side/sides to enlarge.
